Our Story

After attending The Institute of Culinary Education in NYC and graduating with a degree in pastry and baking, Betty Cakes Barkery Bites founder, Nastassja, honed her skills while working in well-established bakeries such as Carlo’s Bakery and Magnolia Bakery in NYC as a cake decorator, before deciding to relocate to a family-owned bakery in Morristown, NJ. The change from working in a crowded, bustling city to a quieter, more residential neighborhood was exactly what she needed to start focusing on pursuing her own dreams. With almost a decade of professional decorating/baking experience under her belt, she started her in-house pastry business, Betty Cakes, and with her love for all animals, especially dogs, she extended her ventures to homemade dog treats. And that’s where Betty Cakes Barkery Bites was born! Her motto is, if humans can have healthy and delicious treats of all kinds, dogs should be allowed the same luxury.

Betty Cakes Barkery Bites makes everything in small batches from our home base in Millburn, NJ. Our goal is to provide you with wholesome, healthy, all-natural ingredients that your dogs will love, you will trust, and you both can eat together!
